Our Farm, Your Vision
Our Barn is part of an agricultural tourism destination, offering over 6,000 square feet of covered space and four distinct areas to make your wedding day unforgettable: the grand main floor, the elegant loft, the open-air porch, and the charming gazebo by the pond.
From the Barn, sweeping views stretch across rolling valleys and the sparkling fountain pond, creating a backdrop as timeless as your love. Whether you’re preparing with your bridal party in the loft, sharing cocktails on the porch, or gathering with loved ones by the firepit and gazebo, every corner of the property is designed to surround your celebration with beauty, comfort, and romance—all within the natural charm of a working farm.
At this time, Barn on the Hill is not currently scheduling weddings as we work through the process of achieving our agricultural tourism designation. This step is an important part of our long-term vision for the farm, allowing us to continue offering a beautiful, intentional setting rooted in the land. We truly appreciate your interest and patience during this time, and we look forward to welcoming couples back in the future to celebrate their special day at Barn on the Hill.
The Barn
← The heart of the property, the Barn’s grand main floor measures 50' by 70' and can welcome up to 99 guests for dining, dancing, and celebration. Its rustic charm pairs effortlessly with your personal style, whether adorned with elegant florals and draping or left to shine in its own natural beauty. Guests will enjoy the convenience of a fully equipped caterer’s kitchen, two modern restrooms, and a portable bar—all designed to keep your day flowing smoothly while you focus on the moments that matter most.
The Loft
Tucked above the main floor, the 50' by 30' loft offers a beautiful and elegant retreat for the bridal party. With soft light and a spacious layout, it provides the perfect backdrop for quiet reflection, laughter with friends, and those special getting-ready moments before you walk down the aisle. From its warmth and charm to the anticipation it holds, the loft is where your wedding day story begins. →
The Porch
The 15' by 70' open-air porch invites guests to step outside and soak in the sweeping views of the valleys and the pond. It’s a dreamy setting for your cocktail hour, filled with the glow of romantic string lights as the evening sets in. Outfitted with picnic tables and surrounded by fresh country air, it’s the perfect place for conversation, laughter, and quiet reflection before the night’s festivities unfold.
The Gazebo
Nestled beside the pond and its sparkling fountain, just steps from the firepit, the gazebo offers a cozy and romantic gathering place. Fully furnished and centered around a glowing fire table, it invites guests to linger under the stars, surrounded by the soft glow of string lights. Optional mosquito netting ensures comfort while preserving the charm of this intimate space. Whether it’s for toasts, quiet conversations, or laughter that carries late into the evening, the gazebo naturally draws people together, wrapping your celebration in warmth and ease. →
The Land
The Barn at Barn on the Hill rests on over 35 acres of rolling countryside, lovingly owned and maintained by Tammy and Bill Koerner.
Nestled within green valleys that invite soft summer breezes, the property offers wide-open space for your wedding day, along with the charm of grazing cows in their fenced pastures and seasonal blooms that bring the landscape to life. From vibrant cutting gardens to the ever-changing beauty of the wildflower fields, our flowers add a natural, romantic touch to every celebration.
Just five miles from downtown Thornville and only 40 minutes from the heart of Columbus, it feels worlds away—yet remains close enough for guests to arrive with ease. Every view, every breeze, and every bloom is meant to surround your day with beauty, tranquility, and a true sense of place.
